soldiers, who are part of the peacekeeping mission to Kabul,
are clearing the village of numerous unexploded ordnance,
which they will destroy. The village was once on the front
line of fighting between the Taliban and Northern Alliance.
Thirty seven soldiers have been working for four months to
rid the village of the explosives, and they have collected
200 rockets, 5 bombs, about 100 mortar shells, 30 land mines
and more than 50 artillery shells.

ejected and survived, but at least 83 people on the ground
are dead and 116 injured.
