F-14 Tomcat

We did this graphic as a part of our Iraq crisis collection. When we explain a weapon, we try to go as deep as we can. We like to make thorough animations that are not only "drawing-and-measures." So we work very hard to find good technical information to put in them because we would like to re-use the graphic in another future conflict (that´s why we do a lot of these "how-this-thing-works" stuff). And we try to make it understandable to the reader.

I worked alone on this one. It took me about 8 hours to read the information, make the rough 3D, render it, and make the vector sketches (using the same 3D model with Swift 3D).

One reader told me that I should tell that most F-14's are most used in air-to-ground operations rather than air-to-air operations. And, another wrote to congratulate us.
