Mother of All Bombs
We made this one to explain the ultimate non-nuclear-bomb in the US arsenal. We tried to mix 3D with a vectorial explanation (in the second part of the graphic). When we did the scene of the fall, we tried not to use an isometrical perspective. Instead, we used a "forced" perspective (a not real one) to make it more dramatic and TV-looking.

Daniel Izeddin (from the print department) documented the graphic. It was made in one day for our Iraq graphics collection . It's quite simple, but our readers seemed to like it. One of them wrote us an e-mail to explain that the course of the falling bomb (on the second part, on the left), was not very well represented, just because the inertial force would pull it more than it's shown in the graphic. We have a lot of military readers and they keep an eye on our work. If we make a mistake, well have a lot of complaining e-mails the next day!
