Whitney
Kvasager spent half of her college career flirting with topics
that ranged from music theory to Holocaust studies. When she
calmed down, she looked around and saw that journalism had
always been there for her. Whitney and journalism sealed their
relationship when she graduated from The Evergreen State College
in June with a BA in liberal arts with an emphasis in journalism.
Her favorite college memories revolve around the student newspaper,
Cooper Point Journal, where she was a layout editor,
managing editor, and finally, editor-in-chief. After Poynter,
Whitney is moving to New York to intern at Rolling Stone.
She also plans to hunt down a reporting position and generally
seek her fortune.
