graduated in May from Auburn University in Auburn, Ala., with
a bachelor's degree in print journalism and a minor in history.
I'm an Air Force brat, so I'm not really from anywhere (Or I'm
from a little bit of everywhere -- I've never been able to figure
out which. I usually just tell people I'm from California.).
Right now my folks are stationed in Montgomery, Ala. -- so that's
home for now. I just ended a yearlong stint as design editor
for Auburn's student newspaper. Last summer, I was a Dow Jones
Newspaper Fund intern on The Wall Street Journal's national
copy desk. I've also worked as a reporter for the Montgomery
Advertiser and as a copy editor/page designer for the Opelika-Auburn
News. After Poynter, I hope to find a job as a newspaper
copy editor or designer, and I would eventually like to return
to school to get an MBA or a master's in media management. |
