After
getting his BFA in illustration, Brian headed to graduate
school to combine art and journalism. He has studied design,
infographics, and illustration and been the art director of
a city magazine and a bilingual newspaper covering central
Missouri. He has interned at the Springfield (Mo.)
News-Leader and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
After attending Poynter, Brian will complete his graduate
project looking at the role of the artist as journalist in
the 19th Century pictorial press. He plays the banjo.
